If you are an owner or scheduler in a room, you can give others quick access to the room. Presenters cannot generate Keys.

First, select one of the rooms in which you are a scheduler or owner. Then do one of the following:

Click on the "Request a KeY" button and choose the type of key you want to generate

Open the File menu, select "Request Key," and choose the type of key you want to generate

Right Click on the Room name and choose the type of key

A special room key--a Quick Key--will appear in the Quick Key area. The key will be a 5-digit number. This key is valid only for five minutes.

If your contact has the HP Virtual Room Tray open, she or he can enter the key into their Tray's Quick Key area and click on the Go To Room button. Key holders can also enter this key into the key field on the Attend Event page of the HP Virtual Room Portal page.

If you don't have the luxury of passing the key along verbally, you can pass the key to someone through e-mail or instant messaging,.

NoteTo simplify this process, a link to the room--including the key--is copied to your Clipboard when the key is generated. When you create your e-mail--or instant message--you can simiply paste the link into the message.
